The Last Round Before Christmas

Rather than sending out cards this year, we wanted to do something a bit more creative to wish you a Merry Christmas.

We’d like to also take this opportunity to say how honored we’ve been this year to work with some amazing golfers, from new players to seasoned professionals, and watch you take your game to the next level.

If you are one of our TOP clients, it would be great to hear how things are going with your game. And if you ever have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask. We are here to help. Let us know what you think about this poem in the comments below.

To your golf success!

’Twas just days before Christmas, and all around town

Golfers were hoping to play just one more great round,

Before family descending or plans to head north

Would prevent them from setting one foot on the course.

The clubhouse was busy with golfers galore,

From chunkers and sandys, to crushers and more

With visions of posting a score to proclaim,

You jumped in your cart and sped off to go play.

The fairways were wide, no trouble in sight,

The wind was low and the sun was shining bright.

“What a perfect last round of the year this will be!”

Was the sentiment you carried through holes 1, 2, and 3.

On tee #4, there was a bit of a glitch,

And you watched your shot fly into the rough oh so thick.

“It’s nearly Christmas,” you thought as you aimed for the pin,

“There’s hope for a miracle if I don’t hit this thin.”

Your subsequent shots left much to be desired,

Grinding your way to the turn, emotions on fire.

You started so strong, but are now in dismay,

Trying to fix your bad swing, and salvage the day.

On approach to Hole 10, with a head full of noise

You suddenly remember how to regain your poise.

Sport psychologist, Doc Reece, taught you to think like a Pro

So even on tough days, your score could be low.

Step 1 – Pick a target

Step 2 – Find your swing

Step 3 – See your shot

Step 4 – Swing with ease

Four little steps set the stage for success,

And start to simplify your thinking and reduce all your stress.

Now armed with the tips to play great and have fun,

Your game comes around and you’re back on the run.

This last round before Christmas you’ll remember with glee,

And get to brag about to family whilst under the tree.

As you head to the car, satisfied with your day

You realize, there’s more than technique to great play.

With this year at a close, and many opportunities in the next

You know mental game training, will help you reach your best.

To unleash your Inner Champion, and keep your head in the game,

You’ve got to choose to think great on every shot, every day.

For newbies to Pros, winning strategies are not hard to master

Improving consistency and confidence, while eliminating disasters.

Perhaps under your tree awaits a special surprise

Playing lessons with Doc Reece to help you capture the prize

Of better golf in the New Year, and much lower scores,

A single-digit handicap or Club Championship award.

To play better faster, and start making more Pars
